HOMA Cherngtalay
“Data only matters if it leads to action. We’ve used it to rethink how we use energy, water, and resources every day. And the results speak for themselves.”
— Luca Dotti, Co-founder & Managing Director, HOMA
Verified Gold Bamboo
Awarded: 1st August 2025 - Valid for 1 year
HOMA Cherngtalay earned the Verified Gold Bamboo Badge after submitting at least six consecutive months of operational data across five key impact areas: Energy, Water, Food, Waste, and Local Employment.
All data was independently reviewed by HLB International, a global audit and advisory network, and assessed against benchmarks aligned with the GSTC Industry Criteria, UNEP, and ILO standards.
The Bamboo Badge confirms that this hotel has met minimum sustainability performance thresholds based not on self-reported claims, but on credible, verified evidence.
Energy usage
Rooftop solar and building-wide efficiency keep average monthly energy use to just 5.69 kWh per square metre, well below typical benchmarks for serviced residences.
Water usage
Smart plumbing and in-house greywater recycling help HOMA keep water use to an average 111.36 litres per square metre, scoring 100% each month.
Waste management
Food waste averaged just 0.02 kg per square metre through portion control, daily tracking and long-stay dining patterns. All remaining waste is composted with the local municipality.
What is Tuu’s Verified
Bamboo Badge?
The Bamboo Badge is Tuu’s mark of verified sustainability performance.
To earn it, a hotel must submit at least six consecutive months of operational data across five core metrics: Energy, Water, Food, Waste, and Team.
HLB International reviews each submission to ensure all data is credible, consistent, and backed by evidence.
Unlike traditional sustainability certifications, the Bamboo Badge is:
Data-driven — based on actual operational metrics
Independently verified — and audited by a global ESG assurance network
Blockchain-registered for transparency and traceability
It’s not a claim. It’s a verified achievement. And it’s the first step toward being recognised in the Eco Stay Awards, which spotlight outstanding hotels in Environmental Impact, Local Community, Cultural Heritage, and Sustainability Planning.
